Description | Between the years 2001 and 2008 the authors investigated 78 patients (34 males, 44 females, mean age 63,5 years) with leg ulcers. Beside history and clinical investigation, patch tests with the allergens of the European standard series and some other special contact allergens were done. Reactions were evaluated according to the ICDRG rules. In 51 of the 78 patients (65,4 %) contact sensitization was detected. The most frequent allergens were: balsam of Peru 26,9 %, wool alcohols 23,1 %, colophony, propolis, fragrance mix and endiaron paste each 10,3 % neomycine sulphate, paraben mix, chamomile extract and Triamcinolon E ung. each 8,9 %. |
