| Description | The paper describes the field of museum education work, which even now continues on the practical and theoretical concepts from the first half of the 20th century. The field of museum education work is dynamically expanded particularly in the last 50 years in Western Europe and North America, particularly in relation to new social demands imposed on modern museum. The field of museum education work is very broad and relates to activities that promote learning of the museum audience and are important in connection with the preparation of the visit of the museum audience (for example research needs of the visitors, co-operation with other institutions, creating programs and texts), during the visit (for example communication with visitors to the museum, diagnostics, self-diagnostics) and post-visit (for example evaluation of museum education activities, action research, documentation of programs). |
