Description | ESP testing of students attending compulsory ESP courses, which are part of their curricula is currently under the process of standardization at Masaryk University Brno. The objective of the process is to unify and standardize the form, quality and assessment of general language entrance testing before the students start attending ESP courses at MU together with the final testing and oral examination at the completion of the ESP courses at all nine faculties of MU. The process of the standardization complies with the standards set by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages which have been modified and applied to ESP courses content by the Masaryk University Language Centre team. The entrance test is designed as an on-line diagnostic and adaptive type of a test whereas the final tests developed at three levels of CEFR – B1, B2 and C1 are designed as on-line linear achievement tests focusing mainly on receptive language competences. |
