| Description | We analysed the causes and the consequences of traction macular edema with the possibility of solution of this stage by pars plana vitrectomy with removal of vitreomacular traction and epiretinal macular membranes. An analysis of preoperative and postoperative findings of 4 patients was made. There were found idiopathic epiretinal membranes in 3 cases and vitreomacular traction syndrome in 1 case. We reported postoperative improvement of visual acuity in 3 cases, stabilisation of postoperative state was reached in 1 patient. |
