Citation
Description The authors of this publication attempt to present in the most detail possible the development of bankruptcy law starting from the most ancient times to the present day. However logically, the emphasis is placed on the formation of modern bankruptcy law. But it was impossible to omit sources from which modern bankruptcy law originated. That is why an introductory chapter was included regarding the Roman concept of dealing with bankruptcy. On the contrary, we paid relatively smaller attention to the feudal period with respect to the existence of an extraordinarily good and detailed publication by Valentin Urfus titled: Origins and formation of bankruptcy law in the Czech lands (Prague 1960) which can be recommended to those interested in bankruptcy law during the period of feudal absolutism.
