| Description | The paper deals with the protection of the weaker party in the employment relationship, i.e. an employee. Labour law is often being criticized for excessive use of protecting provisions which constitute an obstacle for the effective progression of labour relations. The concept called flexicurity was made up in order to seize the challenge connected with the efforts to bring more flexibility into labour relations without substantial diminishing of the employee's protection (security). The aim of the paper is to contribute to the debate on the possibilities of applying the flexicurity approach and its impacts on the employment relationship weaker party protection. |
