Description | Cytokinins (CKs) regulate diverse developmental and physiological processes in plants whose molecular mechanisms of action are being intensely researched. Previously, we identified a number of early cytokinin response proteins and phosphoproteins of Arabidopsis thaliana. They indicated novel links between temperature and cytokinin signaling, and an involvement of calcium ions in cytokinin signaling. Here, we present results of further proteomic experiments aimed to bring a closer insight into these cross-talks. Using sub-proteome and phosphoproteome profiling, we identified early cytokinin response proteins and phosphoproteins whose regulation by cytokinins is abolished in the presence of calcium signaling inhibitors and/or altered under cold or heat shock.
