Description | The historical context of Paul Claudel's consulate in Prague between 1909 and 1911 is first placed in parallel with the situation in France. The text is concentrated in its first part to the position of Catholics in the two societys. It is obvious that Paul Claudel has served as a model of an intellectual convert to Catholicism in the Czech poets and writers: Miloš Marten, Jan Zahradníček or Jan Cep. The second part of the text is created by analyzing the journal Akord and echoes of Claudel's literary creation are understood. |
