Description The article deals with the relationship beetwen semiotics and aesthetics. The relationship is demonstrated on three Czech authors - Jan Mukařovský, Roman Jakobson and Ivo Osolsobě. Jan Mukařovský distinguishes several attitudes to reality - theoretical, practical, religious and aesthetical - and functions which follow the attitudes. Aesthetical attitude and fuction come from setting on sign part of the message. Roman Jakobson build up similar theory. The various function come from setting on different parts of comnunication act. Setting on the message implies poetical function. Ivo Osolsobě build up semiotics of the theatre. He uses cybernetic theory of communication in which he distinguishes starter, object, sign, code and recipient. Theatre is complex system with no least then two communication situation. Each of this authors found their aestetics on the theory of signs - semiotics.
