Description | Inspired by Eward Said's essay "Traveling Theory" the contribution deals with the potential of the "traveling" of feminist motivated theory building as a positive impetus for the further development of such "traveling" concepts. Against this background, two questions are discussed: What are the prerequisites for the unfolding of the critical potential of "traveling"? And what kind of analytical approach could contribute to the analysis of the presentation, reception, translation and embedding of theoretical concepts in new contexts? In this respect, the contribution draws on Donna Haraway's concept of "situated knowledges" and presents frame analysis as a potential tool for analyzing such situated knowledge production. The contribution concentrates on the reception as well as the "traveling" of feminist motivated theory building in post-socialist contexts. |
