Description | The birth of a genre is conditioned by several factors. The detective novel, belongs to the family of fiction genres. Born in the early 19th century in the U.S., such as France quickly acquires autonomy, drawing on stories "judicious". At the turn of the century, the European crime fiction, which develops in the direction of the mystery novel, witnessing the birth of a new U.S. American branch: the novel later called "hard-boiled. " In my contribution, I propose to study the pedigree of the detective genre, while concentrating on its parental relationships with other fictional genres as well as its own varieties born in other countries - his first cousins and those British fashion. |
