Description | The task of this study is: (a) to remind the historically established relationship between the disciplines of the Art history and the History and (b) to outline briefly the current situation, where the traditional art-historical field recently discussed the distinction between art and image. If we look at the Art history at the end of the 20th century, then we see that one of the major issues the concept of image and visual culture has become today. The second side of the same coin they show common proposals for the emergence of newly conceived image science. The author traces the emergence of this concept from the original dilemma: the aesthetics or history as a basis for the Art history? This new discipline was originally based on a historical basis, however slowly is still more divided from history. It is possible to reconnect both again? The historical and art-historical texts should follow the dialogical self, complement and respond to each other. |
