Description Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome is a rare autoimmune disorder mediated by the involvement of voltage-gated calcium channels on presynaptic part of motor axons. Paraneoplastic form represents about 60 % of cases in most cases is associated with small-cell lung carcinoma. Clinical picture is dominated by weakness of limb girdle muscles. Electrophysiological findings showing presynaptic involvement of neuromuscular transmission and detection of VGCC are important findings for the diagnosis. Immunosupression is the key therapeutical measure.
