Citation
Description An overview of processes of European integration from 1920s to today should act as an introduction to detailed study of the issue of integration processes (economic co-operation, common agricultural policy, co-operation in safety and foreign policy, social and educational policy) mainly for the students who are going to be teachers. Key moments when the legal system of the EU was formed and the ratification of the Treaty of Lisbon show that there is a will to seek and find consensus in the EU. Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Baltic states joined the union, many hopes were fulfilled; however, euroscepticism persists. The future of the EU is realted not only to economical development but also to the process of formation of European civic society that would support and deepen the ongoing integration.
