Description Child autism is one of forms of pervasive developmental disorders. It is a consequential affection influencing all components of personality and it accompanies the individual the whole life long. The disorder is characterized first of all by disharmonic development with prevailing disorder in the domain of social relations and communication. Autism should be diagnosed until the third year of life of a child but it manifest itself already considerably earlier, namely often already till the age of one year. Just this recognition of early warning signals enables the enlistment of a child in the risk group of children threaten by autism and to grant them the adequate educational and instructional measures to prevent the redundant traumtatization of child and its family. In the article, the symptoms of autism including the initial ones are emphasized and it is appealed to the need of their early recognition and starting the education rightly in the early childhood when the development and the maturing of the brain are still in progress.
