Description | The aim of this paper is focus on multi-branch issue of legal protection against domestic violence in the light of the development of legislation in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic and its European human rights dimension. Let us state that the law against domestic violence is developing relatively slowly. Unfortunately, we can not talk about the complexity of the approach: efficient private provision against domestic violence is still missing. We want also to point out that the law maker avoided at the beginning to define domestic violence and to use the term of itself. Later on, one could see the term domestic violence in laws, but not consistently. Particular attention is paid in this contribution to the position and rights of the child. It is well known that the child is very often witness or direct victims of domestic violence. The final lines of the contribution are therefore devoted to designed law. |
