Description Legal regulations on the promotion of renewable energy sources should fulfil the requirements of the environmental and energy policy of the European Union in addition to international obligations. At the same time, it should prevent negative impacts of the promotion on economy, social area, and the environment. The Slovak Republic tries to solve this problem like the Czech Republic, which follows on the duty of both states to transpose directives of the European Union as well as the common history. Differences can be seen e.g. in the objects of the Acts on the promotion of the use of energy from renewable sources, in the objects of the promotion, or in the concepts of its instruments.
