Description | The article deals with the political situation in Nepal in 2011. In the first par, the paper describes the development of Nepal's since 1990: the transition to democracy in 1990, the civil war in 1996-2006, the end of the conflict in 2006 and the election to the interim parliament in 2008. Subsequently, attention is paid to the analysis of the political situation and the frequent changes of the Cabinets, which contribute to the long-running political crisis, negative operation of the whole country and may potentially pose a significant security risk. It was the failure of the government to address priority issues of the country, which in the 1990s led many citizens to support the Maoists and their armed struggle. |
