Description | Nerve fibers and arterial supply passes through the output of the eye through a very narrow scleral channel. This area has the character of mesh with a solid fibrous skeleton and acts as a compartment, which prevents secondary dilatation of the central retinal vein in the development of central vein occlusion. Radial scleral incision edges of the optic nerve releases central retinal vein from constriction and decompression of the central vein allows easier release of thrombus accompanied by recanalization and accelerates and improves the blood flow. |
