Description | Efforts to achieve the aims of environmental policy of the European Union are influenced by conflicts of economic and environmental interests. This is reflected in the issue of promoting the use of energy from renewable sources which is one of the occasions for entrepreneurial activities in rural areas. Relevant legislation was changed in response to these issues; as far as biomass is concerned, the sustainability criteria for biofuels and bioliquids as a condition for financial support should have been stipulated. In practice, however, other problems related to biomass incineration have occurred as the consequences of incongruous politics. |
