Description | This article aims to answer questions if and to what extent does proper preparation influence later results of long run team cooperation. Empirical research was conducted within one-semester long managerial game. 72 teams divided into nine oligopoly markets were monitored. Approx. 20 people in every fictitious company within the game cooperate and seek to produce the biggest total profit to be the best company at their market. The quality of preparation is operationalized as successfulness (rank and profit) of the company (team) in the first round of the game. Results of the research confirm that companies which were more successful with their preparation are significantly more successful later in the game. The quality of preparation and results in the early stages of the project/team work can be relatively good predictors of future success. |
