| Description | This is an overwiew of hairy cell leukemia diagnostics and therapy. When 50 years ago the description of hairy cell leukemia was published, the clinical outcome with median survival after diagnosis was 4 years. Improvement of these results came with interferon, but the introduction of the purine nucleoside analogs changed the prognosis of patients with hairy cell leukemia. |
