| Description | The work represents the concept of comprehensive rehabilitation and specifies the social service of a personal assistance. The author tries to answer the question: How the personal assistance can help in the comprehensive rehabilitation of children and juvenescent with mental retardation and autism in Znojmo region? To get the answer the comprehensive rehabilitation, social services, personal assistance, mental retardation, autism and the region of Znojmo are defined by the author in the theoretical part. The practical part of the work brings the description of the Osobní asistence Znojmo – the only provider of the personal assistance in Znojmo. A social service is regarded by him as a high-quality social service when fulfilling the quality standards of the social services. He addresses personal assistants and learns their approach to the creation, acceptance and fulfilment of the standards. Besides it the needs of the childrens parent and of the children themselves are being ascertained by the author. He explores whether the parents want to provide their children with the comprehensive rehabilitation and whether the personal assistance improves the quality of life of the children with mental retardation and autism. |
