Description | Monocular visual field is formed by objects which are seen monocularly with static central fixation. Normal range of monocular visual field is 60 degrees up and nasal direction, 70 degrees down and 90 degrees in temporal direction. There are two basic types of perimetry – kinetic and static, also called as automated. In the group of kinetic or dynamic perimeters we can place Manual, Forster, Maggiore and Goldman perimeter. Today clinicians usually use automated perimeters. There are many modifications of basic white on white (W-W) perimeters. Short wave automated perimetry (SWAP) could prove early changes in glaucoma. |
