Description | This paper analyses the development, current tendencies and perspectives of proliferation threat to East Central Europe. Basic research framework is outlined and the substance of proliferation as a threat to national and regional security is explained. The legacies of historical eras are described, including important incidents with smuggling nuclear and radiological materials. The paper also deals with current relations of East Central European countries with nuclear “rogue states” and it assesses these states as a threat to regional security. In the final part of the paper predictive approach is used. |
