| Description | The chapter on the one hand theoretically considers dramaturgy and its relationship with journalism, and on the other hand is an introduction into present-day dramaturgy and screenwriting. The text in its theoretical part delimits dramaturgy as an umbrella discipline for both art and journalism on the basis of Aristotle’s mimesis. In the part focusing on application it defines the basic dramaturgical themes such as composition and dramatic situation, and introduces starting points for scriptwriting. It also includes a critique of the genre and its taxonomic systems in relation to radio and television, and a brief history of dramaturgically significant radio and television broadcast phenomena. |
