| Description | This commentary on the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR50) deals not only with the case of law of the European Court of Human Rights on each right guaranteed by ECHR50 and its Protocols, but also with the structure of the Strasbourg system of the protection of human rights, its interrelationship with the Czech legal order, its under underlying principles and its practical implementation in the Czech Republic. This book stresses that ECHR50 is not only the most important human rights convention for European states, but also the cornerstone of the "European public order", which defines the identity of members of the Council of Europe. |
