Description Present paper analyzes public interferences into legal science in ancient Rome. The first part describes five of these interferences (Responsa prudentium, Quotation Laws by Constantine the Great from 321 and 327 and Theodosius II with Valentinian III from 426, Codification of Justinian). The latter part tries to examine the circumstances of their publishing and to assess their impact on legal science both in the time of publishing and from today’s point of view.
