Ph.D. Talent: I have always loved exploring nature
Being a lifelong nature lover, it seems natural that Eliška Řehůřková ultimately found herself in the laboratories of the Faculty of Science of Masaryk University. As a doctoral student she focuses on cell models which enable the testing of the effects of various substances on male reproduction. This research has now earned her the Brno Ph.D. Talent scholarship.

MU Psychology Research Institute to study Queer health
Researchers from the Psychology Research Institute (INPSY) at the MU Faculty of Social Sciences are studying the mental health of people with minority sexual orientation or gender identity. The aim is to map the current situation and contribute to the debate on healthcare reform.

Matchbox-sized device set to revolutionise sleep apnea treatment
Obstructive sleep apnea is the second most common sleep disorder in the world. A wearable electronics device is set to revolutionise its treatment. Canadian scientist Adam Williamson is working on its development at the International Clinical Research Centre of the Faculty of Medicine Masaryk University and St. Anne's University Hospital in Brno.

We participate in key infrastructures
MU Research infrastructures are an important pillar of research and innovation systems.
Their significance is emphasized by our participation in 14 projects listed in the Czech National Roadmap for Large RDI Infrastructures.
Eleven of these projects are also part of research infrastructures of pan-European interest included in the European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures (ESFRI) for 2021.
