Societies are an integral and key part of the functioning of universities and at Masaryk University it is no different. Association activities are well taken care of at MUNI. Get to know the main actors in the coordination of association activities and their competences.

Platform of Masaryk University Associations
The Platform of Associations has the function of coordinating the association activities of Masaryk University. The platform facilitates communication and cooperation and enables the sharing of experiences between individual societies and clubs. It is created by a coordination team.

Student Chambers of MU Academic Senates
The mission of the AS MU Student Chamber is to defend the interests of students in all areas, including in connection with their association activities. SKAS MU is the umbrella covering the Societies Platform and together with it forms the societies policy at the university.

RMU External Relations and Marketing Department
The role of the RMU OVVM is mainly to institutionalize the relationship between the societies or clubs and the university and to establish cooperation. The department's agendas also include marketing support for the societies and cooperation with the Societies Platform.

Vice-rector for Student Affairs and External Relations
The Vice-rector’s areas of responsibility include support for student organisations, university-wide student activities, volunteering and sporting activities. The Vice-rector manages scholarship policy, relations and communication with students.

Platform of associations and association cooperation
How does the Platform work?
The platform is managed by a coordination team consisting of a representative of the Student Chamber of the MU Academic Senate, a representative of the Masaryk Student Union (MUNIE) and representatives of departmental, faculty and university-wide associations. The coordination team prepares regular meetings of the societies platform, keeps records of the societies, manages the societies' web presentation, takes care of the societies' premises at Komenský náměstí and ensures cooperation and communication with the Rector's Office and SKAS MU.
