The Bursar of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University appoints a selection procedure for the position

OFFICE MANAGER for Centre of excellence CREATIC
 (working hours 40 per week)

The Centre of Excellence CREATIC of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University in Brno, was established on 1 January 2024 and focused on research and development of cell and gene therapy for selected rare diseases. We cooperate with the Fraunhofer Institute IZI (Germany), the University of Leipzig (Germany) and the University of Copenhagen (Denmark). The establishment of the centre will be supported by the prestigious European grant Teaming for Excellence and a grant from the Ministry of Education Youth and Sports for the next 6 years.

We are looking for a reliable, systematic and enthusiastic person to help us implement our plans and provide the necessary support to the implementation team. A person who will be in charge of the operational administration of the Centre and at the same time will not shy away from assisting in the organisation of planned events.

The scope of your work will be: 

  • Effective preparation and coordination of all organizational and administrative activities of the centre.
  • Organising meetings, appointments and visits, arranging refreshments, taking minutes.
  • Communicating with staff and dealing with their requests.
  • Handling email and telephone communications, incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Updating documentation, reports and official documents, translating and proofreading contracts and materials, ensuring circulation of documents, searching for information.
  • Managing the Centre's calendars, maintaining a task book and an overview of internal contacts.
  • Assisting in the preparation of training and other events within the framework of the Centre's activities, providing catering.
  • Organising business trips and related administration (e.g. processing travel orders, arranging flights and accommodation, etc.).
  • Managing and issuing access cards.


Required qualification:

  • At least a secondary school education.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Basic understanding of HR, economics and controlling.
  • Diligence, systematic, autonomy, time flexibility.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Communication skills and a proactive approach.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS office programs, especially MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Excellent knowledge of Czech language, communicative knowledge of English (min. at B2 level).

Type of contract: 1 year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of further extension

37 000 - 45 000 CZK
