Academic Senate elections
Members of the Academic Senate are elected (for a term of three years) separately from among academic staff (employees) and students. At present, each faculty is represented by three academic staff members and two students, and the total number of 55 members is supplemented by three representatives of other academic units and two students of the drawn faculties (details on the representation of individual departments are set out in the Electoral Regulations of the Academic Senate of Masaryk University with regard to the Higher Education Act (in particular §8 and §9). Elections are held electronically in the e-Elections application within the MU Information System.
