For Colombian student Laura Catalina Sanchez Florez, her student exchange in the Czech Republic was a turning point. She was only supposed to stay in Czechia for a semester, but meeting her current boyfriend pushed her to fulfill her dream of living abroad. She has also completely changed her career plans and started studying English for Teachers.
Serbian student Tijana Joksić visited Brno for the first time when she came to see her boyfriend who had moved to work for a local IT company. She was so impressed by the student city, its architecture, and the modern facilities of Masaryk University that she immediately started looking if the university offers her field of study.
Japanese students Yumeka Takagi and Yuki Takada met and started dating while studying at the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University. Now they have both switched to the Faculty of Pharmacy, where they are enjoying their studies very much.
She always thought that studying for a Master’s degree abroad would cost her a fortune. But Masaryk University and the Czech Republic had a surprise in store for Indian student Sandhiya Suresh.

The Faculty of Medicine offers specialized preparatory courses designed for students who wish to study General Medicine or Dentistry in English. The programmes are focused on acquiring the secondary school skills and knowledge of chemistry, biology, physics and Czech language essential for the success at the entrance examination and the first-year studies
