The project presented has been linked up with the unfinished anthropological - medical research realised at our workplace under the support from the Grant Agency of the Czech Republic since 1993. The project goal is a complete morphoscopic, metrical and particularly paleopathological examinations of skeletal remainders from medieval and modern Moravian localities (Troskotovice, Kyjov, Břeclav, Žerotínovo náměstí in Brno). Both standard morphoscopic, anthropometrical, histological and rentgenological met hods and up-to date examining procedures (CT examination, SEM, genetic analysis of DNA of pathogenic microorganisms) will be used. Their full utilisation is, however, limited by financial support from the Grant Agency of the Czech Republic. The results w ill bring a broad reference set for further anthropological studies of skeletal remainders, they will provide new information for archaeological sciences, enrich the knowledge of the medicine history. Newly applied methodologies of the skeletal research
