The proposed project builds on continuous well established research of our team in the field of hematologic malignancies. In this study we would like to profound our knowledge and understanding the mechanisms underlying clonal evolution of chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) cells. We have already studied CLL using variety of bulk analysis moreover we have also succeeded in single cell analysis. We believe that true personalised medicine is based of detailed characterisation of malignant cells of each patient with the potential to detect the most aggressive clones. From this prospective, single cell analysis gives the best opportunity to fulfil this need. The aim of our study is to compare transcriptomes of thousands CLL cells from consecutively collected samples of patients with aggressive disease with the aim to define the properties of subclones responsible for disease refractoriness.
