Our project entitled Population Policy Acceptance II is from the subject-matter view sociological and demographic research. It is a sequel to its first run The Acceptance of Population-related Policies (PPA I) which was carried out in selected European c ountries - the Czech Republic included - in 1991. Its second wave will be earned out in 2001 and it will focus - as in its first run - on the inquiry into the determinants of current level of population trends in their relations with various aspects of e veryday life, individual value preferences, and decision-makings, all that in the context of the existing system of family, social and/or population policies. The aim of this project is to collect new behavioural data compatible with the previous ones on reactions of Czech public on everyday life events with respect to population behaviour. We shall be interested - in tune with the European project - in factors leading young cohorts to postpone their marriages, and in factors determining low birth rates
