Description | The study summarizes results of more than 70 studies analyzing impact of outdoor formal education programs on students’ knowledge, attitudes, skills, beliefs, and behavior. We found a pre- vailing evidence of benefits of outdoor programs, in both absolute and relative-to-indoor-lessons sense. As the most important barrier of larger spreading the outdoor formal education, we identified a perceived concept of outdoor education among school teachers and administrators. In the study, we call for a fuzzy educational approach naturally merging indoor and outdoor educational setting to maximize the impact on students. |
