Description | The paper presents the educational strategies of a teacher of English language, history and civic education of the relatively famous Prague school. The school's profile is the provider of "meaningful basic education" and effective education of pupils of various educational needs. The paper shows that the educational strategy of the case-teacher is based on the knowledge about the pupils and their educational needs, on the systematic activation of the pupils in the education oriented towards their learning, which is motivated by the positive relation of the teacher to the pupils and the school as an educational service. In addition, the teacher has a sufficient set of possible educational approaches, which is grounded in her subjective theories about pedagogical transformation. Her subjective theories are the result of systematic reflection of learning as well as of formal and non-formal education. The paper will present four examples of a teacher's tuition recorded on video. The author has got her reflections on teaching available in the form of stimulated recall. Information about her professional teachings is given by the author from a narrative interview. The paper should have shown that effective inclusive education is possible, but not without knowledge, solid teachers' theories guiding their behavior, teachers' maturity attitudes and teamwork at school. |
