| Description | Despite the considerable geographical distance, various linguistic elements have penetrated into Czech through the Russian language over the centuries. Among them are so called realias, i.e. words describing specific phenomena of a certain culture or people. This article describes methods that can be used in the translation of these realias, and analyses the state of realias occurring in the Czech language. The analysis is based on data from the Czech National Corpus, which provides us with information on their use in modern Czech. |
