Description | This article is about a software system for 3-D optical microscope data storage and analysis which is being developed in our Laboratory. The system is based on client-server architecture. The server part works on a high performance UNIX server. The main task of the server is image analysis and data storage. The client part works on current personal computers with MS Windows or Linux operating systems. It allows specification of image analysis (performed subsequently by the server), visualisation of 3D image data by means of orthogonal and maximum projections, and enables confirmation of image analysis results. This paper concentrates on the client part and its user interface. |
