| Description | The article deals with the concept of markedness, which is in stylistics used mostly dealt with in the sphere of vocabulary. In morphology, its specific feature is the reduced scale of markedness, consisting of the categories of bookish neutral colloquial substandard (possibly with a distinction between dialectal and regional). The borderline of the standard is set by the prescription as given by the current codification, for alternatives within the standard different and incomparable criteria overlap, being partly influenced also by the subjective interpretation of the recipient. |
