| Description | The German-Czech language contacts are realized mostly in the lexical level. The typology of taking over the German wordstock from the stylistic and territorial point of view was developed. The borrowings are differentiated according to the membership in standard or colloquial language or according to the territorial restriction of received lexemes. Many of these borrowings are also characterized by further signs like familiar or coarse. In the next interpretation the Czech borrowings in Brno and Vyškov German Language Island were presented. It came to light that e.g. in the village echyn in the island of Vyškov the occurence of Czech borrowings is much more numerous than in the neighbouring village Lysovice. The different amount of borrowings in neighbouring areas possibly corresponds with the national structure of inhabitants, i.e. with the penetration amount of Czech and German language element. |
