Description | The paper deals with constructivism in innovational educational programmes in the Czech Republic. Two integrated educational programmes claiming inspiration by constructivism were selected: "Začít spolu" (Step by Step) programme and "Program podpory zdraví ve škole" (Health Promoting Schools). The goal of the study is to apply a research tool developed by Elizabeth Murphy (1997) to find aout whether the programmes do show features of constructivism and their claim to adherence to constructivism is justified. The analysis shows that programme Step by Step exhibits all features required by the research tool. It was difficult find evidence of some features in the Health Promoting Schools Programme, but it may said that both programmes contain most indicators and their claim to origin in constructivism is entirely justified. |
