| Description | Foul translations can lead to fatal misunderstandings - or joy. The article deals with "fatal" as well as "joyful" translations from German into Czech as products of the Translation seminars at the Masaryk University, Brno. The faults and mistakes in Czech translations of Czech native speaking students build the basis for translation-faults typology, (so far insufficiently described in translatology studies). The rough division of ("subjective" and "objective") mistakes is further divided in further categories. The article includes examples of such faults. |
