13.00: The Rector of Masaryk University cancelled all teaching at the University of the Third Age.
University measures taken regarding COVID-19
- MU is operating following the university traffic-light system. The risk assessment level is currently WHITE. It is not compulsory to wear respirators in all MU buildings.

University faculties, institutes, and offices may declare a higher alert level than the university-wide level or introduce stricter rules than elsewhere at the university. Researchers from MU examine genes of G. J. Mendel
Next year, the city of Brno will be celebrating the 200th birthday of G. J. Mendel. Involved in the festivities will be Masaryk University, which recently began publishing the findings of a comprehensive research project focused on this ground-breaking scientist.

MU students win the Charlemagne Youth Prize for their media literacy game
Fakescape, a game that teaches media literacy and critical thinking to children and young adults, has won the Charlemagne Youth Prize. The project is run by students from the MU Faculty of Social Studies.

Doctoral students received award for their excellent achievements
Forty graduates of doctoral programmes and their lecturers have recently accepted from Vice-rector for research and doctoral studies Šárka Popíšilová an award for excellent achievements in their doctoral studies at Masaryk University.

Studying at Masaryk has been a thrill, say Belarusian students
Belarusian students Aryna Rabtsava and Uladzislau Zybrykau first met while studying medicine in Vitebsk. In January they moved to Brno to study thanks to a special scholarship programme.
