Magnetic particles of carriers of various biological functions can be easily and quickly removed even from a heterogeneous reaction mixture using magnetic field. Therefore, such particles are used still more frequently and are considered as highly perspective. The aim of the project there is preparation of magnetic carriers with immobilized selective ligands and their application in hydrolysis and isolation of nucleic acids. The materials prepared on the basis of cellulose and synthetic polymers o the glycidyl methacrylate type with the necessary immobilization chemistry will be used as carriers. Magnetic carriers with immobilized chelating groups will be prepared and transferred into complexes with selected lanthanides and other catalytic metal ions. Catalytic effects of such immobilized synthetic nucleases will be tested using high-molecular RNA, high-molecular DNA and plasmid DNA. Further, carriers will be prepared which will be used for isolation of specific DNA sequences. Microorganisms imp
