Valuable psychological assessment and a judicious choice of an assessment tool can not be pursued without an access to information about all methods available within given background. Such an overview of methods, based on thorough research, is still miss ing in Czech psychology of assessment.The principal objective of proposed project is to explore the range of assessment methods used by Czech psychologists. We do not aim to simply tabulate a list of methods. The survey among the psychologists operating in various domains of practice will investigate whether the assessment methods are used adequately, what is the assessment context of their use, what are the psychometric standards of the methods, what are the forms of the methods, and what kind of metho ds (or particular tests) is needed. This survey will provide a kind of map for orientation in local assessment methods, and it may serve as a stimulus to fill possible gaps of needed methods.
