Characterization of properties of thin bioorganic layers immobilized on the surface of metallic electrodes of piezoelectric crystals. Active and passive methods of measurements, electrochemical properties of biomolecules, amplitude and phase of response. Adsorption of thiocompounds on the surface of gold and silver will serve for stable immobilization of proteins, nucleic acids and lipid layers. Monitoring of conformation changes of biomolecules due to physical factors (temperature, pH, ionic strength). Kinetic interactions of immobilized biomolecules with complementary affinity partners as well as the effect of external conditions on conformation and stability of affinity complexes on the surface of crystals. Several methods for assay of the model compounds (pesticides, albumin, oligonucleotides) will be tested using piezoelectric biosensors; direct measurement of small molecules, competitive and sandwich affinity assays.
