University measures taken regarding COVID-19
- MU is operating following the university traffic-light system. The risk assessment level is currently WHITE. It is not compulsory to wear respirators in all MU buildings.

MU is operating following the university traffic-light system. The university currently has a “WHITE LIGHT” rating, determined by the MU Crisis Board. University faculties, institutes, and offices may declare a higher alert level than the university-wide level or introduce stricter rules than elsewhere at the university. Follow the websites of individual faculties and the colour-coded signs hanging on the exteriors of MU buildings.

Vice-Rector Jandová will incorporate experience of international colleagues in her work
Monika Jandová, a graduate of the Faculty of Economics and Administration of Masaryk University, where she has served as vice-dean for internationalization since 2020, became vice-rector for personnel policy, lifelong learning and sustainability at the start of this academic year.

Proper communication is key to success
At the start of the current academic year, Jana Fialová became the vice-rector for student affairs and external relations. She had previously served as the vice-dean for student affairs at the Faculty of Medicine since 2018.

Since September, Masaryk University has had a new vice-rector for internationalization, Petr Suchý from the Faculty of Social Studies. He wants to strengthen student and employee mobility and provide better care for international students.

Traditional barbecue at university campus marks new academic year
Students from the faculties located on the Bohunice campus (Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Pharmacy and Faculty of Sports Studies) gathered on Tuesday 10 October for an informal Deans’ Barbecue. There was grilled food, sports activities and lots of student socialising.
