University measures taken regarding COVID-19
- MU is operating following the university traffic-light system. The risk assessment level is currently WHITE. It is not compulsory to wear respirators in all MU buildings.
- All covid-19 policies related to entering the country have been suspended. See also current restrictions in the Czech Republic.

MU is operating following the university traffic-light system. The university currently has a “WHITE LIGHT” rating, determined by the MU Crisis Board. University faculties, institutes, and offices may declare a higher alert level than the university-wide level or introduce stricter rules than elsewhere at the university. Follow the websites of individual faculties and the colour-coded signs hanging on the exteriors of MU buildings.

ETUR 2023: MU presents diverse programme
Masaryk University took part in the European Week for Sustainable Development (ETUR) for the first time this year. It organised festivals, lectures, exhibitions, community events, exchanges and garage sales, opened its campus doors and awarded students.

For the first time this year, the opening ceremony included the presentation of the Rector’s Awards for Outstanding Teachers and the announcement of the University Wine for 2023/2024.

New research centre for health economics established at MU
Among the priority topics of the Institute for Health Economics, Policy and Innovation (HEPII) will be the ageing population and the associated increasing demands on the public healthcare and social security system, the adoption of new technologies in healthcare, and the quality and accessibility of healthcare in the Czech Republic.
